The Concept of the LIVE.REPEAT.DIE is a unique trait that has been implanted in this movie that makes it a solid movie in my opinion plus with an Alpha and Omega concept where they have the ability with their blood and DNA to play with the time loop it makes sense for the aliens to contain that knowledge since they are more advance then the humanity itself.
the Movie takes place in the future where most of Europe is occupied by an alien race. Major William Cage (Cruise), a public relations officer with limited combat experience, is forced by his superiors to join a landing operation against the aliens, only to find himself experiencing a time loop as he tries to find a way to defeat the invaders. The Aliens that occupy the Earth called The Mimics, arrived in Germany via an asteroid and from there started the conquest of Earth in Europe. The United Defense Force is established to counter this invasion from outer space but a few years of the war is a big loss to a certain region of Europe.

In the year 2020, The United Defense Force created a new type of Mech-Suits as a result of a successful battle at Verdun and this helps a lot in pushing back the aliens and changing the tide of the war. On the battle at the Verdun, U.S. Army Major William Cage, a public affairs officer has been forced to deploy to the Verdun even though he doesn't have enough experience in combat but something special and out of the human league of intelligence is occurs on William Cage.

Cage awakens to find Brigham has demoted him to a private and assigned him to Master Sergeant Farell and the misfit J-Squad, who do not take kindly to Cage. The landing in France is a colossal failure; Farell and J-Squad are quickly killed. Cage uses a Claymore mine to kill an unusually large blue Mimic but is mortally wounded by the explosion and covered in the alien's blood. Cage jolts awake to find himself back at Heathrow, reliving the events of the previous morning. His attempts to warn Farell against the invasion are ignored, and he experiences the loop of dying on the beach and waking up at Heathrow repeatedly. During one loop, Cage tries to save Sergeant Rita Vrataski, a celebrated hero of the battle of Verdun. She realizes Cage can loop time and orders him to find her the next time he wakes up.

After a few tries to make her believe his experiences with the loop by proving the existence of a system or organization that the Mimics hold through biological of their DNA. He explains that the Mimics are a superorganism in which the "Omega" controls the cerebrum, while the "Alphas" behave as the ganglia through which the Omega controls ordinary Mimics; if an Alpha is terminated, the Omega resets the day and adjusts its tactics until the battle is won. so she believes in what he said and agrees to help him to destroy the Omega.

Cage and Vrataski infiltrate the Ministry of Defence, where Cage convinces Brigham to give him Carter's prototype device that can locate the Omega, but they are pursued by military police on leaving. During the ensuing car chase, Cage uses the device and discovers the Omega is under the Louvre Pyramid in Paris. Cage is seriously injured during capture and wakes up in a hospital to find he has been given a blood transfusion and has lost the ability to loop time.

Vrataski frees Cage and they recruit J-Squad to help destroy the Omega before the invasion begins. They fly to Paris, where the soldiers sacrifice themselves so that Cage and Vrataski can reach the Louvre. Before luring away an Alpha standing between them and the submerged Omega,. When the Alpha kills Vrataski and mortally wounds Cage, he manages to drop a belt of grenades that destroys the Omega, killing the Alpha and the Mimics. But this time he awakens in an alternative history. In this alternative timeline, he watches a news conference during which the General announces that a huge mysterious energy blast was detected in Paris. The General says that the Mimics have died and the human forces will commence sweeping through Europe the next day. When he arrives he sees that all of J-Squad are alive. He later finds Vrataski, who does not recognize him, and greets him as coldly as she did in previous loops, which Cage responds to by laughing.
